We’ve already seen supposed leaked parts, hardware specs, and even “engineering samples” (case molds) of Apple’s rumored next gen iPhone. Now case makers are apparently taking things to the next level, and actual cases for the “iPhone 5” have begun cropping up.
Cydia Blog (via 9to5Mac) points out a number of “iPhone 5” cases appearing at TVC-Mall that match up very well with previously reported leaked parts and schematics. The cases are slightly taller, presumably to accomodate the device’s 4-inch display, and feature a smaller dock connector hold and a relocated headphone jack opening.
Although these images do align well with what has been heard so far about Apple’s next iPhone, it’s important to remember that this doesn’t mean they will actually work with Apple’s next iPhone. Notably, cases for a redesigned “iPhone 5” also surfaced last year, and Apple released the iPhone 4S instead of an all-new redesigned device.
The next generation iPhone is reportedly already in production, and is expected to be released sometime this fall. already said to be in production for an expected fall launch.
