iOS has seen an entirely new category of food and drink related apps emerge, but up until now, there was no dedicated category on the App Store. That’s all changing though, as developers have apparently been informed by Apple that a brand new ‘Food & Drink’ category is coming to the app store, MacStories reports (via 9to5Mac).
The change, expected to take place in the next few weeks, should make things a lot easier for users who only want recipe or cooking related apps, instead of having to search in the much wider category which exists now.
The developers who have been contacted meanwhile, will have the chance to add their apps to the new section, and presumably from now on any new food or drink apps will be classified in that category.
