A new image picturing a supposed spec sheet of the new 15-inch MacBook Pro to be unveiled next week surfaced yesterday evening, showing a massively revamped new device with a 2560×1600 Retina display and 16GB of RAM.
The spec sheet (pictured above via Matthew Panzarino, reported by 9to5Mac) also shows that the new MacBook is slightly lighter than the current model, and significantly thinner – almost as thin as the MacBook Air! The supposed spec sheet also lists 4 USB ports (twice as many as on current models) and a beefy 2GB AMD Radeon HD 7770M GPU.
It’s important to note that none of this is confirmed, though many of the specs do line up with previous rumors. Apple is also rumored to have switched to Nvidia graphics, however – although those reports may have been false. The spec sheet is very similar to an earlier (and I believe unlikely) spec sheet for the new 13-inch MacBook Pro.
Apple is widely expected to unveil new MacBook Pros (and a number of other Macs) at next week’s WWDC keynote, so we should know the truth soon enough. Until then, enjoy the pre-WWDC roller coaster ride!
