Overpriced Retina Macbook Pros Hit eBay After Shortage

Almost predictably, eBay is beginning to fill up with scalpers, offering Retina Display MacBooks for as much as $1,700 more than Apple’s asking price, 9to5Mac reports. From Amazon to Apple themselves, the demand has meant Apple’s brand new notebook has been hard to come by, and I’m sure that some impatient fans will bite at the chance to get it early.

It;s difficult to understand why you would want to pay almost double the price just to get it a few weeks early, but some people are clearly pretty obsessed about it and will pay any price.

Another listing asks for $3,199, but charges an extra 95$ for international shipping, making it similar to the other price. We’ll se if anyone actually comes up with cash to get in early, but I know I certainly wouldn’t.
