I’ve been a fan of Aperture for a long time, and love using it for more in-depth editing of my photos. For most things, however, iPhoto is more convenient. I’ve often found myself bouncing between the two programs, which can make keeping each app’s library up to date a but of a chore.
Fortunately, thanks to new updates to each app released last week, iPhoto and Aperture can now finally share photo libraries – no importing or exporting required! I recently discovered this little addition after reinstalling Aperture over the weekend, and I couldn’t be more thrilled!
Users of both Aperture and iPhoto will no doubt be thrilled at this update – I’ve been wanting this for a long time! The new feature only works with iPhoto 9.3 or Aperture 3.3. For those without the latest versions, Aperture 3 ($79.99, link) and iPhoto 11 ($14.99, link) are both available from the Mac App Store.is available from the Mac App Store.
