Cloud storage service Dropxox has updated their iOS app this morning, adding several new features, such as a new gallery view for images, and the ability to move and delete multiple files. Perhaps the best new feature however, is the ability to automatically upload photos and video from your iOS device!
The Dropbox iOS app now periodically scans your device and uploads your latest shots directly to Dropbox. You can then view those photos and videos from any computer with an internet connection. But it gets even better: Those who use the new feature are rewarded with up to 3GB extra storage space!
The free storage is part of an incentive program to encourage people to use automatic uploads. For every 500MB of photos and video you upload, you get 500MB of free storage, up to a limit of 3GB. And if you’re like me, you’ve already got at least 3GB of stuff on your iOS device to upload.
Dropbox for iOS 1.5 requires a free Dropbox account, and is available now as a free download from the App Store (direct link).
