After half a dozen NFL teams made the switch to digital playbooks this season, the Cincinnati Bengals have followed suit, ordering 110 iPads to be used by both coaches and players, BizJournals reports. They will replace the classic ring binders and should greatly improve communication and strategy.
The Bengals will use a custom app designed by startup company PlayerLync, also with collaborating technology services provider Pomeroy and the University of Kenutcky.
The Bengals will hope this new technology will see them do better then their playoff appearance last year, and if that happens, it be in part due to the technological genius of the iPad.
