Following boot issues and kernel panics resulting from their previous update, Apple has now released Thunderbolt Software Update 1.2.1 to add support for the new Thunderbolt Gigabit Ethernet Adapter. The update is meant to fix the serious issues in version 1.2 of the update.
Although this update is intended to fix the prior boot issues and kernel panics, users that experienced such issues with version 1.2 may want to hold off on the update until it’s confirmed that this does indeed fix the issue. The update is available now through Software Update for eligible Macs, as well as for direct download from software update page.
