If you have kids you can give them an allowance every month to use on iTunes purchases.
This allows you to control the amount of spending they are able to do.
Who knows you may even have to give an allowance to an adult if they become addicted to buying content on iTunes.
The simply way to do this is to load iTunes, proceed to the iTunes Store and on the right hand side of the screen you will see the following menu options:
Select Buy iTunes Gifts as presented above and proceed down to Allowances. Upon selecting Set Up An Allowance Now you will be presented with the following screen:
Please note that you can allocate from $10 to $50 per month for each allowance. The recipient must have their own Apple ID and the store in which the allowance is created in must match the recipients store. For example if you are in Australia and the recipient is in the United States these two store will not be compatible. You will need to have a United States iTunes account in order for the recipient to be issued the allowance.
You can chose when to issue the first instalment. Either wait until the first day of the following month or send now and then again on the first day of the following month.
You will then need to enter in and confirm the recipients AppleID in order for them to receive the allowance. If they don’t yet have a AppleID you can easily create one in iTunes. Leave a personal message if you wish and press continue.
Enter you password if requested and follow any additional instructions.
As with all contractual agreements, please make sure you read and are comfortable with the terms and conditions.
At anytime you can view, change the allowance value, suspend, or cancel an allowance directly from your account information page.
