Following last month’s launch of the iPhone 4 and 4S on five new regional U.S. carriers, it appears that at least 3 more U.S. carriers are set to begin offering the iPhone on May 18th. Each of the new carriers operates on CDMA networks (like Sprint).
The following three carriers have already announced that they’ll begin carrying the iPhone on 18th (via MacRumors):
There may be additional regional carriers included as well. As usual with regional carriers, each of these three providers will be offering iPhones at $50 less than the three major carriers, with the iPhone 4 starting at $49 and the iPhone 4S starting at $149.
Regional carriers such as these typically offer much lower prices for voice and data, but only offer their services to customers in specific locations.
