If you’re in the market for an iPhone 4, Besy Buy has a deal that you just might find appealing. In an email to customers this morning, the retailer announced that they’ve slashed the pricing on all 8GB iPhone 4 models to just $49.
The new price is half of the usual $99 price for the iPhone 4, and the offer extends to devices on all three U.S. iPhone carriers (Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T), as well as both black and white models. Best Buy states that the offer is available online with free shipping, as well as in local brick-and-mortar Best Buy locations, although their website shows that some models are not available for shipping.
Best Buy’s offer is especially interesting considering that Target and Radio Shack recently began offering the same deal. Could retailers be clearing their inventory so they aren’t stuck with iPhone 4 units once the next-gen iPhone launches? This seems likely to me, considering that the future of the iPhone 4 is uncertain – Apple may or may not keep it around once their next device launches.
Apple’s next iPhone is currently expected to launch in October.
