Verizon Sells 3.2 Million iPhones in Q1 2012

The iPhone is continuing to dominate sales at U.S. carriers with continued strong (although slowly shrinking) demand. Verizon posted their first quarter results this morning (via MacRumors), revealing that they sold 3.2 million iPhones in Q1, and a total of 6.3 million smartphones, meaning that the iPhone still accounts for over half of their smartphone sales.

Verizon also announced $3.91 billion in net revenue, with wireless sales as a whole up 7.7%. They also revealed that their total reach is now up to 93 million customers, nearly all of which are post-paid.

Verizon’s iPhone sales are down from the previous quarter (4.3 million iPhones), however considering that Q4 2011 was the launch quarter for the iPhone 4S, this is hardly surprising. iPhone sales continue to remain strong, and demand continues to remain high.
