Tim Cook Ranked Among 100 Most Influential People of 2012, Al Gore Offers Glowing Praise

Apple CEO Tim Cook has been listed by Time Magazine as one of the 100 most influential people of 2012. Apple board member and former U.S. Vice President Al Gore wrote some thoughtful comments on Cook and how well he is doing so far at Apple to be included in the magazine:

From Al Gore’s comments on Tim Cook:

It is difficult to imagine a harder challenge than following the legendary Steve Jobs as CEO of Apple. Yet Tim Cook […] hasn’t missed a single beat. Fiercely protective of Jobs’ legacy and deeply immersed in Apple’s culture, Cook, 51, has already led the world’s most valuable and innovative company to new heights while implementing major policy changes smoothly and brilliantly […]

He has indelibly imprinted his leadership on all areas of Apple […] Highly ethical and always thoughtful, he projects calmness but can be tough as nails when necessary […] Cook knows that his commitment to excellence is inseparable from the incredible ensemble he leads at Apple.

Cook’s chance has come. What a beginning!

Indeed, it’s been quite something to see how Tim has taken the bull by the horns, bringing his own management style to Apple. From his creation of a charitably giving program for Apple to the graceful way he has handled concerns over worker’s rights in Foxconn, Cook seems to be doing a fantastic job.

Apple’s share holders seem to agree.
