Many users find it frustrating that Apple doesn’t let you access your iOS settings with Siri or through third party apps – until now, at least. MacRumors reports that a new app called Bluetooth OnOff has managed to slip through Apple’s approval process and into the App Store, allowing you to toggle Bluetooth on or off with a single tap.
As noted by the app’s official App Store description, Bluetooth OnOff also allows you to chat with other users via Bluetooth (although they’d have to be in pretty close range):
Did it take too many steps just to turn on/off bluetooth? You can now turn on/off just by launching this app. Just in a second, you can activate or deactivate bluetooth. In addtion, you can chat with other users nearby.
The app, which is universal for both iPhone and iPad, has been live for nearly 48 hours now without being removed by Apple, which could mean that it may stay in the App Store for some while, despite the fact that any app which directly controls iOS settings violates Apple’s terms of service.
Just in case, though, I’d recommend grabbing yourself a copy of this app before it goes the way of the Dodo ($0.99, App Store link)!
