Draw Something Sets New All-Time Record for Mobile Game Downloads

Throughout the history of the App Store, a few notable apps have risen above the rest, generating incredible download numbers and an incredible amount of cash. The Angry Birds and Infinity Blade games are among the most notable examples.

The latest app to join the big leagues is Draw Something by OMGPOP – an insanely popular Pictionary-like social drawing and sharing game for iPhone and iPad. In fact, according to VentureBeat, the game is so popular that it has set an all-time record for the fastest-growing original mobile game of all time!

In less than two months, Draw Something has accumulated more than 50 million downloads, remaining among the top-selling iPhone and iPad apps for nearly the entire time. Over 6 billion drawings have already reportedly been created with the game, which currently generates over 3,000 drawings per second.

If you haven’t tried Draw Something yet, I highly recommend it! I personally became bored with it after about a week, but your mileage may vary ($0.99, App Store link).
