Apple has announced that they will create 500 new jobs at their European headquarters in Cork, Ireland, RTE News reports. Apple has been in Cork for 30 years and intend to build a new block next to their current buildings to accomodate the expansion.
2,800 people are currently employed by Apple from the city, and this new job boost should take that number to 3,300 people over the next 18 months.
This expansion has been caused by the business growth in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, meaning that Apple need more staff to cater to the demand.
