There has been some controversy over Apple’s advertising campaign in Australia, with some accusing Apple of making misleading claims regarding the devices 4G abilities. However Apple has now clarified the situation, putting up new signage in stores and offering refunds to disappointed customers, 9to5Mac reports.
The following information has been sent to Australian customers who purchased the new iPad, explaining how to obtain a refund:
Apple’s refund program will end on April 25th and affects iPad buyers who made their purchase before the 28th of March. The device must be undamaged, come with the bundled accessories, and include proof of purchase in order to obtain the refund.
Refunds will also only be given to those who purchased ‘on the basis that it was compatible with current Australian LTE networks’.
