This, I’m pretty sure, will get Netbook Navigator into some serious trouble. This unknown company has come up with an outrageous look-alike to the Macbook Air, which features the exact same case and design as Apple’s model, the only difference being the branding and the Magsafe adapter.
It runs Windows 7, comes with a 1.86GHz Intel Atom processor and a maximum of 4GB of RAM. How something like this can be created is pretty outlandish, and I’m sure that Apple is already preparing some lawyers to deal with it.
The Nav 13X, as it’s called, is not yet fully released and is only available for pre-order, but at $499, it will no doubt tempt some Apple wannabes into buying. To the full credit of Netbook Navigator, they’ve done a wonderful job of reproducing the MacBook Air design. Full marks in that regard.
