iPhoto for iOS Hits Over a Million Downloads in Just 10 Days

Apple’s new iPhoto app for iOS, announced at the March 7th iPad event, has taken the App Store by storm. In a statement given to The Loop, Apple reveals that the app has been downloaded by more than a million users since it was launched – that’s a cool $5 million profit for Apple!

From The Loop:

Apple told me today that its newest iOS app, iPhoto, hit 1 million users in less than 10 days after its release. It’s important to note that figure is users, not downloads. It’s quite possible that one user downloaded the app multiple times, but Apple isn’t counting those, only the unique users.

While our own Henry Taylor-Gill had only positive things to say about the app, I’ve noticed that it does tend to lag a bit at times, especially when working with large events or albums. Still, it’s a great photo editor for both iPhone and iPad, and should only improve over time.

If you aren’t one of the million who’s already snagged it, iPhoto for iOS is available for $4.99 from the App Store ($4.99, App Store link).
