How To: Check The URL Of The Site You ARe Browsing To
Clicking on links in web browsers is similar to asking someone for directions. It can be a leap of faith and sometimes it doesn’t turn out the way you had hoped.
On the desktop version of Safari you will notice when you navigate over a link, the web address will be displayed in the bottom bar of the window on the left hand side. You can look at this and know it is a legitimate link. An example of this can be seen below:
How do you do this in the iOS version of Safari? There is no bar at the bottom of the screen.
All you need to do is tap and hold any link you come across and a popup menu window will appear. You will notice at the top of the popup menu a web address of the link you are about to click is clearly shown here.
Keeping an eye on these links will help you stay secure when traversing the Internet.
