Among the most exciting rumored features of Apple’s next-gen iPad is the inclusion of a high-resolution Retina display. But what will this mean for your apps? One game developer, Pixels on Toast (via TechCrunch), decided to update their upcoming app to be Retina-ready just to see what kind of difference it would make.
As it turns out, jumping from 132 pixels per inch to a whopping 264 makes a pretty remarkable difference! The above image illustrates the increase in clarity and sharpness that you can expect from your apps once developers get them updated for the new Retina iPad that Apple is expected to announce on Wednesday.
Of course, until apps are updated, they might actually look worse with their pixels quadrupled to compensate, but with any luck developers will be swift to update their apps.
