Another New iPad Gets Unboxed Early in China, Graphics Benchmark Shows Significant Improvement

Following yesterday’s early unboxing and benchmarking of a new iPad in Vietnam, Chinese publication PCM Online (via Engadget)has gotten their hands on a new iPad as well, and wasted no time in performing a graphics benchmark!

The below video shows what’s in the box, provides an overall look at the device, and shows how Apple’s latest iPad compares to its older brother, the iPad 2. They also took a closer look at the quality of the new 5MP iSight camera, finding that it takes much, much better pictures than the iPad 2.

The publication also benchmarked the graphics performance of the new tablet, showing a pretty spectacular improvement over the iPad 2. The benchmark showed a performance boost from 90 frames per second (fps) to 140 fps in the GLBenchmark 2.1.1 Egypt offscreen test and from 146 fps to 250 fps in the GLBenchmark 2.1.1 Pro offscreen test.
