iPad 3 to Feature More Tapered Edges, 8MP Camera?

NextMedia claims (via MacRumors) to have gotten their hands on actual pictures of Apple’s forthcoming iPad 3. The pictures show a casing nearly identical to the iPad 2’s casing, but with with a more tapered edge, as well as a larger and slightly different camera, which they claim will be 8MP.

The report also echoes the previously rumored (and very likely) March 7th date for the announcement to be held, and also echo rumors that the device will feature a Retina display and a quad-core “A6” processor.

While an 8MP camera would be nice, and wouldn’t actually cost Apple a great deal more per device, it’s unclear how useful a high-res camera would actually be on the iPad 2 (although I can see it being useful for shooting movies).
