Valve, the company behind the popular PC and Mac game downloading platform, has launched Steam Mobile (free, App Store link), a companion app for iOS that allows you to chat with Steam friends, check out screenshots, and more.
With the free Steam app for iOS, you can participate in the Steam community wherever you go. Chat with your Steam friends, browse community groups and user profiles, read the latest gaming news and stay up to date on unbeatable Steam sales.
The app is available immediately on the App Store (free, App Store link), but unfortunately it’s still in beta, and you’ll need to sign up for an invite before you’ll be able to use it. Still, if you do a lot of gaming through Steam, this app could definitely prove useful.
