Mac users and Star Wars fans, you might be in luck. The new MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic could be making its way to the Mac in the near future after developer Bioware hinted at the transition, claiming in an interview with Joqstiq that it would be “important” and that the Mac represents “a large audience.”
The game, currently only available for Windows, allows players to join as members of the two main factions: the Galactic Republic or the Sith Empire. Its rumored development cost is estimated at $130 million, which would make it one of the most expensive video games ever created.
The only three Star Wars games currently available in the Mac App Store are Knights of the Old Republic, Empire At War and Jedi Knight Outcast, with two LEGO Star Wars games also available. Another Star Wars title would be very welcome on the Mac.
