QuasiDisk for iOS Brings Dropbox-like File Syncing to iCloud

Independent iPhone developer Chris Simpson has released a handy new app called QuasiDisk ($1.99, App Store link), allowing you to store and sync files between your Mac and iOS devices using iCloud, Dropbox style!

As RedmondPie reports, The app uses Apple’s iCloud service to securely store your files, and functions as a simple file manager and viewer, and incorporates a number of sharing features, such as USB sync through iTunes, sharing over WiFi with the app’s built-in FTP server, or by syncing the files with any iOS device or Mac using iCloud.

It’s not clear how the developer intends for files to be synced or access on a Mac through iCloud, as Apple hasn’t yet officially provided a way to access and store iCloud data from the Mac. You may have to rely on OS X Lion’s hidden iCloud Drobox feature in order to make it work correctly.

The app is available now from the App Store for $1.99 (App Store link).
