Most people who have tried Nintendo’s Mario Kart games agree that they’re pretty amazing. Unfortunately, Nintendo’s games aren’t likely to arrive on iOS any time soon, but if you’re looking for a game with a similar look and feel, Mole Kart ($2.99, App Store link) has your back.
As Joystiq points out, Mole Kart strongly resembles Mario Kart in look and feel, gameplay, the design of the the tracks, and more. It’s essentially a shameless ripoff of Nintendo’s idea. In fact it’s so similar, I suspect that Nintendo will soon have their eye on this and send their legal dogs out for some fresh meat.
The game is currently available for $2.99 (App Store link), and is a universal app for the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch 3rd and 4th gen, and the iPad. Additional tracks and features can be unlocked through in-app purchases. Check out the below video to see the game in action:
