Ion Audio, well known for such creations as the iCade, showcased their new Guitar Apprentice at CES 2012 in Las Vegas this week – a cool accessory that uses your iPad to help you learn to play the guitar!
Guitar Apprentice features a full fretboard covered with tons of tiny buttons that light up to help you learn to finger chords and play songs, and includes a built-in speaker to hear what you’re playing.
Unlike Guitar Hero style accessories, the Guitar Apprentice actually becomes a full instrument when accompanied by an iPad, and makes a fantastic guitar learning experience. The Guitar Apprentice can be played anywhere, since it requires no connections.
The Guitar Apprentice is due out later this year, and is expected to retail for around $100. Check out the below video to see it in action! I sure wish I had one of these when I was learning guitar!
