Epic Games states that Infinity Blade has now become a $30 million franchise, reports Joystiq, thanks in large part to an impressive $5 million in sales of Infinity Blade 2 since it was released on December 9th.
The game swiftly topped the App Store charts in under 24 hours, and has remained extremely popular since its launch. The original enjoyed a similar period of success when it was released on December 9, 2010.
Infinity Blade II is built with Epic’s Unreal Engine 3 graphics technology, and takes advantage of Apple’s newer iOS devices in ways that most games do not, featuring extremely impressive graphics, especially for being designed to run on mobile devices.
Infinity Blade II’s Game of the Year trailer can be seen below, and does a great job of showing exactly what the game is capable of.
