iOS 5.1 beta 3, released just a few days ago, contains some pretty major and exciting hints that Apple may be working to bring Siri dictation to the iPad, reports 9to5Mac.
The Settings application in the new beta has a new section within the keyboard menu called “About Privacy and Dictation,” and when opened, it provides legal literature and other information related to Siri dictation, although the feature is not yet functional with iOS 5.1 beta 3 on the iPad or iPad 2.
It’s possible that Apple is preparing to launch the service on the iPad with the official iOS 5.1 launch, or may be planning to add the feature to the upcoming iPad 3 as an exclusive feature, similar to their move with Siri on the iPhone 4S.
