Apple Looking to Open New Store in Queens

Apple is reportedly aiming to open a new store in Queens, New York, NYDailyNews reports. The store would be located on Austin St. in Forest Hills. Apple is already in talks with a real estate developer who said that if a deal is concluded, it could open in a year.

Real estate developer Yeshekel Elias also showed her determination to get Apple into Queens. “I will do anything I can to bring Apple in,” Elias said. “Queens has to have an Apple store.”

Apple currently has five stores in Manhattan, including one at Grand Central station, but they have yet to open any in Queens. They also have mini stores in over 600 Best Buy locations, with Target also planning to test out the concept in 25 of its larger stores.
