Following Facebook’s introduction of a new profile feature called Timeline, and a recent update to their iPhone app to add support for the new feature, 9to5Mac reports that Facebook will be bringing the Timeline feature to their iPad app early next year.
Timeline is described as “telling your life story” with a new kind of social profile, which places your account’s photos, status updates, interactions, and more throughout the life of your account all into one at-a-glance timeline.
The feature works quite well of Facebook’s mobile website, as well as the desktop and iPhone app, and the addition of the feature to Facebook for iPad should provide a smooth, clean experience.
The large, Multi-Touch version of Timeline is described as very smooth and intuitive and a fusion of the web and iPhone/iPod touch versions. It is a touch screen optimized version of the web experience.
The feature was initially rumored to come to the iPad on December, but has been delayed due to last-minute bugs and other issues discovered during internal testing, The feature is now expected to arrive sometime between mid to late January.
