Infinity Blade II Hits the App Store

Epic Game’s highly anticipated Infinity Blade II ($6.99, App Store link) has finally arrived, bringing its gorgeous graphics, improved gameplay, and deeply satisfying medieval combat to iOS devices around the world.

From Epic Games:

Infinity Blade II continues to raise the bar for triple-A mobile gaming. Journey into the world of the Deathless tyrants and their legion of Titans. Build skills and upgrade characters… all while delving deeper into this mysterious, timeless adventure.

The original Infinity Blade was the first iOS game based on the Unreal 3 engine, and delivered the most impressive graphics ever seen at the time. The sequel pushes the boundaries even further, adding fantastic lighting and shadow effects and revamping the graphics in general. This is one beautiful game.

Infinity Blade II features more levels, new weapons, a new combat system, and over 40 combat locations (compared to 10 in the original version). The app is universal, and compatible with the iPhone 3GS, the iPhone 4 and 4S, the iPad and iPad 2, and the 3rd and 4th generation iPod touch.

The new game is available immediately, and is on sale for $6.99 (normally $9.99) to celebrate its official launch ($6.99, App Store link).

While you wait for your download to finish (or if you’re still on the fence), be sure to check out the official trailer from Epic Games to get the anticipation going! For more information, check out the official Infinity Blade II website.
