Apple Releases Apple TV Update 4.4.4

Apple has released another update for the second-generation Apple TV, bringing the version up to 4.4.4 (build 9a406a). The update includes general bug fixes and optimizations.

Apple hasn’t yet provided release notes or updated their support page, so it’s unclear whether the update includes anything besides basic bug fixes and optimizations.

Apple TV Software Update 4.4.4 is available now via the Update Software option (General > Update Software), or can be downloaded directly from Apple (direct link) for those who want to use iTunes to update.
