Apple has started posting job listings for its upcoming retail store in Berlin. The store, which will be in a nearly century old theater building (pictured below, credit: BerlinSidewalk), will be the company’s first in the city.
MacRumors writes about the upcoming location:
As noted by iFun.de [Google translation] and Macerkopf.de [Google translation], Apple has begun posting job listings for a forthcoming retail store in Berlin, the company’s first in a city that ranks among the largest in the European Union.
ifoAppleStore detailed the store’s location earlier this year. The nearly 100 year old theater building is in one of the city’s major shopping districts. The entire building measures at 4,500 square meters, or over 48,000 square feet. It is unknown how much of the building Apple will be using.
The time between the first job postings and the opening of a store is typically around six months, which would mean the new Berlin location should be opening somewhere in the middle of 2012.
