In light of today’s news that Adobe has officially given mobile Flash the boot, it seems appropriate to reflect on Steve Jobs’ thoughts about Flash in general, and particularly on mobile devices.
Jobs sat down with Walt Mossberg at the eight All Things Digital conference in 2010, and shared some thoughts on Flash, as well as discussing Apple’s decision not to support Flash on iOS devices.
Echoing previous comments, Jobs called Flask buggy, outdated, and no longer useful, and recommended it be “put out to pasture.” The clip is definitely worth taking a look at – check it out below to see Jobs deliver a verbal smackdown on Flash.
