Computerworld has just posted their complete 1995 interview with Steve Jobs. The interview is 75 minutes long, and was conducted as part of an oral history program for the Computerworld Information Technology Awards Foundation. The transcript of the interview was published shortly after Jobs’ passing.
The interview provides a fascinating look into Jobs’ ideas and outlooks prior to his return to Apple. The interview touches on Jobs’ education and childhood, as well as the future of the internet, and his thoughts on Apple, NeXT, and Pixar.
Perhaps the most interesting part of the interview, however, is the part where Jobs shares his views on death, calling it the “greatest invention of life.” Jobs shared the insight in discussing ideas behind start-up companies, who he believes challenge the status quo in order to innovate and push technology forward.
