There’s no doubt about it – Siri’s being used for some pretty awesome stuff these days, from starting and locking a car, to controlling a home thermostat. 9to5Mac reports that the latest Siri proxy hack allows Siri to be used as a high-tech TV remote.
This hack uses the same Siri proxy trick used in previous Siri hacks, and links up with Plex using a command line interface to start movies and shows much more quickly than you otherwise could.
Considering how smoothly and effectively this works, I wonder about how this relates to the vision that Steve Jobs had for an Apple television set – it certainly seems possible…
Siri’s capabilities are seemingly endless – it won’t be long before Siri can be used to control our homes, unlock hotel doors, or even make us breakfast in the morning.
