Among the many things I do with my iPad, watching Netflix tops the list, which is why I’m so excited at the completely redesigned iPad app interface they showed off today.
The redesign, pictured above (click to expand) is intended to unify the Netflix experience across various devices, so the Netflix experience is the same whether you’re using an Android tablet, an iPad or something else entirely.
The new interface has already been launched on all Android tablets, and Netflix promises that the interface will arrive on the iPad within a few weeks.
The new design is much more immersive and provides greater focus on the growing number of titles in the Netflix catalog. In fact, the new interface displays twice as many movies and TV shows as before, enabling you to discover even more titles you’ll love. Also, we’ve taken greater advantage of the tablet’s unique features, inviting you to swipe through rows of titles featuring larger artwork.
We’ll be sure to let you know once the updated app is released. In the meantime, enjoy some Netflix movies on the old interface so you can appreciate how much better (hopefully) the new design is.
