iPhone 4S to Launch in India On November 25

Continuing Apple’s fastest iPhone rollout yet, The Times of India reports that the iPhone 4S will launch in India (the world’s second-largest mobile market) on November 25th, on two separate wireless carriers.

Both Bharti Airtel and Aircel will be launching the device on the same day. Aircel announced the news on their Facebook page, ending weeks of speculation among pundits of when device would come to India.

Pricing has yet to be disclosed by either carrier, although the device is expected to cost between Rs 35,000 and Rs 40,000 ($693-792) for the 16GB version (unlocked and outside of carrier contracts).

Both carriers offered inexpensive voice and data plans for the iPhone 4, resulting in a sort of reverse subsidy, in which customers pay full price for the device, and then receive discounted service.
