iOS 5.0.2 to Arrive Later This Week, Solve Battery Life Issues Once And for All

Still having battery issues after updating to iOS 5.0.1? Macerkopf.de reports that Apple is hard at work on iOS 5.0.2, and is expected to release the update within the next few days, hopefully resolving battery life issues once and for all.

The iOS 5.0.1 update, released on November 10th, improved battery life for many iPhone users, but continued reports of poor battery life saw Apple continuing to research the issue, promising a future update to address the matter further.

Macerkopf cites an anonymous engineer from Apple’s iOS devision, who claims the battery problems have finally been solved, and will grant the iPhone 4S the 40-hours of standby and 10 hours of use it was supposed to have in the first place.

As with all rumors, this should be taken with a grain of salt until Apple makes an official release, but for those still suffering battery issues, this should come as very welcome news.
