Apple Releases GarageBand For iPhone & iPod touch

Apple has released an update for their popular GarageBand app, bringing support for the iPhone and iPod touch. The popular app allows musicians to create music using virtual instruments, or plug in guitars and other musical devices to create music on the go.

The update is a universal app working with all current iOS devices, and includes a number of enhancements, including a new feature allowing users to create custom chords for Smart Instruments, as well as the ability to transpose songs in semitones or full octaves.

Further enhancements include support for 3/4 and 6/8 time signatures, as well as the ability to reset the key of your song and new quality settings for exporting AAC and AIFF audio files.
