Following a report last month that Sony was considering Aaron Sorkin to write the screenplay for their upcoming Steve Jobs biofilm, E! Online now reports that Sorkin has responded, saying he’s seriously considering writing the film.
“Sony has asked me to write the movie and it’s something I’m strongly considering,” Sorkin told us at the P.S. Arts Express Yourself 2011 event in Santa Monica.
…
“Right now I’m just in the thinking-about-it stages,” he said. “It’s a really big movie and it’s going to be a great movie no matter who writes it.”
Sorkin has produced screenplays for a number of notable titles, including The Social Network, A Few Good Men, and Moneyball. The fact that he’s worked with Sony before only makes this proposition more likely.
Work on the film has yet to begin, although filming is expected to commence starting early next year.
