Those of you who have played angry birds are aware of how fun and even addictive the game can be, and there are a lot of reasons to like the game. The game certainly has a lot of fans, and has spawned plush toy and theme parks, and there may even be a movie in the works.
An article earlier this month from Psychology Today, however, takes the world’s obsession with Angry Birds to a whole new level: by suggesting that Angry Birds can teach you important life lessons.
The article provides 5 main lessons that can be drawn from the game, although having read the article, they seem to be stretching things just a bit far to make these work:
1. Tenacity is everything.
2. Sometimes you need just one well-placed move.
3. Don’t launch too soon.
4. Don’t launch too late.
5. Occasionally great things happen despite the odds.
The full article is a bit drawn out and ridiculous, but it does read well, and you may get a couple of nice chuckles out of it. You can check out the full piece, “Five Things ‘Angry Birds’ Will Teach You About Life”, over at Psychology Today.
