Apple has been putting considerable time and resources into redesigning their 5th Avenue Retail Store, and MacRumors reports that the redesigned store may be unveiled on Friday, November 4th.
The renovation project is estimated to have cost $6.6 million, and has been surrounded by barriers since June. The above image shows what the redesigned store is likely to look like when it is unveiled.
Steve Jobs himself reportedly provided a great deal of input into the design of the 5th Avenue store, as reported by the Wall Street Journal:
[Steve Jobs] is solely responsible for the cube,” Mr. Macklowe said. “I had different shapes and different ideas, and his cube was somewhat different than what it is now, but it’s Steve Jobs’s idea.
The presumed November 4th public unveiling falls in line with original estimates of an early November completion.
