Twitter has just release an update to their official iOS app today, adding an improved sign-up interface, deep integration with iOS 5, integration with Twitter’s picture hosting service and more.
The updated version of Twitter can now fetch your Twitter credentials directly from setting.app in iOS instead of asking users to add their accounts within the app itself. iOS 5 will allow developers of all Twitter-enabled apps to do the same.
Another new feature in Twitter for iOS 3.5 is the ability to directly upload and share photos using Twitter’s photo sharing service, which can be configured through Twitter’s preferences. The update also includes other enhancements, as reflected by the release notes below.
From the release notes:
What’s New in Version 3.5.0
* Enhanced sign up experience
* Upload photos to Twitter (pic.twitter.com)
* Updated Direct Messages design on iPad
* Tap a location on iPad to show Tweets nearby
* Bug fixes and minor enhancements
The update is available now, and can be downloaded through the App Store (Free, App Store Link)
