Notable iOS jailbreak hacker MuscleNerd has issued a warning through his Twitter account that once-popular jailbreak website JailbreakMe.com has been sold to an unknown buyer, and is no longer available to use for jailbreaking your devices.
MuscleNerd also mentions that all jailbreak tools formerly found at JailbreakMe.com will be moved to jailbreaks.me. Until the new site goes live, however, no web-based jailbreak solution is currently available.
Since its unclear what may happen to JailbreakMe.com, the site is a potential target for iPhone malware and security attacks due to its recognition in the iOS and jailbreaking communities. As such, users of iOS devices are advised to stay away from JailbreakMe.com as it may no longer be safe.
**Update, October 8, 2011: Notable jailbreak hacker Jay Freeman has announced via Twitter that JailbreakMe.com has now been transferred to him, and users of iOS devices should no longer consider it a threat.
