Adding to the already impressive collection of music creation apps available in the App Store, including Apple’s own impressive GarageBand for iPad, a new $1.99 app called GhostGuitar uses your iPhone or iPad’s FaceTime camera and motion tracking to create the ultimate air guitar.
The app tracks the movement of your hand using the FaceTime camera, and translates that movement into actual guitar sounds, as if you were strumming the guitar for real. The app features several guitars to choose from, as well as various effects.
