Apple Launches iPhone Micro USB Adapter In European Market

Following yesterday’s iPhone media event, Apple updated it’s online store in the U.K. and other EU countries with a new iPhone Micro USB Adapter, allowing you to use third-party micro USB cables to charge and sync your iPhone.

The new adapter connects to your iPhone and accepts any third party micro USB cable, and while the adapter does add a bit of extra bulk to your phone, many will find the convenience of being able to use a micro USB cable with the iPhone to be a significant convenience.

The new adapter so far has not made it to the U.S. online store, and it’s unclear whether Apple has plans to make it available elsewhere. The adapter is available now for £8 in the U.K. Online Store, and £9 in Apple Online Stores for other European countries.
