Epson has quietly added AirPrint support to several of their Fall 2011 printer models, reports MacRumors. AirPrint, Apple’s driverless printing system that allows users to print from their iOS devices, has previously only been supported by HP printers.
The added support is revealed by a FAQ page on Epson’s website. The fact that Epson is beginning to support AirPrint makes me hopeful that more manufacturers will begin supporting the feature in the near future. Steve Jobs promised almost a year ago that AirPrint support would be coming to a lot more printers.
The following Epson printers are listed as AirPrint compatible:
– Artisan 730
– Artisan 837
– Epson Stylus NX430
– WorkForce Pro WP-4530
– WorkForce Pro WP-4540
– WorkForce 545
